Thoughts4Paws offers a personal dog training service tailored to you and your dog's needs.

All training sessions are carried out by trained and certified staff in your home. You are not one of many participants in a classroom. Session content is dependant upon the behavior problems being addressed. The number of sessions will depend upon progress and can be extended until a suitable outcome is achieved. Behavioral areas that can be addressed include:

• Aggression
• Dominance
• Leadership
• Preparation for Showing

We believe that all dogs look for leadership and want to please their pack leader. It is not necessary, in fact it is often counter productive, to bribe your dog with food treats (it just makes him/her fat) or painfull consequences (this is quite simply torture!). It is very important that you attend all of the training sessions as we train the owner to be the pack leader together with the dog. In our experience training a dog in isolation from it's owner is rarely, if ever, successfull. We are therefore happy to schedule sessions at a convenient time for you as well as your dog - i.e. early evening or weekends.

Sessions typically last an hour and are tailored to your dog's individual needs. Our rates reflect the intensity of and length of training that is required to achieve your aims. We are not the cheapest in the area - but we are the best!

Even though we believe that you will come to appreciate our professional service, we also understand that in these economic times, some initial preparation can go along way. If you would like to try giving your dogs the basics, there are a number of resources available to you on TV, on the Internet and in books. We recommend this site to start you off. Once you have the basics learned, a small number of lessons from us can be viewed as a "finishing school" for your dog.
